RightOne / Insurance / Income protection-short term

How does this product work?

The product is dedicated primarily to self-employed people and those to whom the employer does not provide paid sick leave, and social welfare benefits are not sufficient to compensate for the lost income. The purpose of insurance is to partially cover lost income during sick leave, caused by illness or accident. Depending on the option chosen, the payment due may start from the 15th day of incapacity. This is currently the shortest period on the market!

What it covers?

  • Incapacity as a result of illness or accident
  • Hospital stay (over 48 hours)

Paid sick leave from an accident or illness (from € 300 to € 3000 per month)

If the insured person is unable to work as a result of an accident or illness, he/she is entitled to a benefit equal to 1/30 of the fixed monthly benefit for each day of inability to work. The payment is calculated from the moment of passing the selected transition period, which may be 14 days, 30 days, 13 weeks or 26 weeks. The fixed monthly benefit can be up to 60% of the gross monthly salary. There is also the option of insuring a non-working partner up to a maximum benefit of € 350 a month. The maximum period of paid sick leave may be 12 or 24 months depending on the option chosen.

Hospital supplement (from € 30 to € 300 per day of stay)

If the insured person stays in the hospital for more than 48 hours, he or she is entitled to a benefit equal to 10% of the fixed monthly benefit for each additional 24 hours spent in the hospital, up to 30 days in a given insurance year. In addition, the insured person is still entitled to receive a benefit for incapacity for work.
